Father's Day 2014

We had a nice relaxing Father's Day weekend. Our favorite local running store hosted a Father's Day run on Saturday. The fun run was a one mile out and back route for kids to run with their dads. Colin was really excited to go for a run, but once all the kids lined up and they said go he said, " Dad, can you pick me up"? So Colin rode on my shoulders for a little bit, but then he wanted to run on his own.  It was so much fun to watch him run and enjoy himself.  He ended up running about half the course.  After the run we were treated to homemade granola,  homemade yogurt and several baked goods. On Sunday I went for a mountain bike ride with a friend and for dinner we went to a local brewery. All in all a good weekend and I feel lucky to be a Dad.
