Christmas 2013

It's long over due, but here is Christmas 2013.

What a whirlwind adventure. Actually, anytime you travel with a toddler it is an adventure, but this time we packed a lot in just 10 days.  We landed in Philly and spent the night with Matt's Dad. The next morning we were off to Northern NJ to visit Kate's Dad and Nanelyn. We were there for only a few days, but managed a trip to NYC. Driving into NYC was out of the question so we decided to take the NY Waterway Ferry across the Hudson.  Talk about a convenient and stress free way to travel. Colin loves boats, but we think he love the stuffed snowman he saw in the Ferry building even more (see below). Upon landing we boarded a bus, which took us to Rockefeller Center. Matt had never seen Rockefeller Center all decked out for the holidays so that was a bonus.  Despite epic crowds it was fun to visit NYC and Colin was slack-jawed for much of the afternoon. After saying goodbye to Pop Pop and Nanelyn, we were off State College to visit some good friends from Penn State and Boston. We'll definitely have to make another trip to State College, because less than 24 hours just wasn't enough. After the pit stop in State College, we were headed back to visit Matt's family. This year was extra special because Nana Ruth also made the trip to the East Coast. She was able to visit her friends in NJ/NY and then spent Christmas with us.  After a few days of really warm weather Colin, finally experienced a little winter with snow flurries on Christmas Eve and then more snow the day after. Despite the chaos of traveling and the hustle and bustle it's nice to spend the holidays with family. We were all excited to meet Colin's cousin Ryder.

Here are a few highlights.  To view all picture click the album below the pictures.  There is also a video too (you may have to view them on the blog and not in email)
